Thrifty finds and a 5 minute makeover

This past Friday we went thrifting and scored big time!

SKI POLES!!!!  2 sets for $9.95.

IKEA chairs but I have no idea what their name is.

They must be that old since I couldn't even find a pic online to tell me. Both of them for $34.95! I feel a hack coming on....... you'll just have to stop back to see what I did. I promise you'll be surprised.

Goodwill served up this hot pink mirror


Well hot pink is not my favorite color, for a mirror.

I am a big fan of Rustoleum Oil-Rubbed Bronze spray paint and I thought it would look great on this mirror.

I loved leaving some of the pink show through  on the sides of the flowers. Like a secret....

But when I brought it in to hang on my mirror wall, everything was dark. I only had one gold gilt mirror and the rest were dark woods so I decided to use the same technique I used on my masking tape mirror to make it look like gold metal.

So I broke out the Brass Rustoleum and the Silver Rustoleum spray paint and got crackin'.

Spray the whole thing brass and then lightly spray over the brass with the silver. All the silver does is lighten the brassy color.
