Rustic Baptism Cross

I like being a go-to person for things. It galvanizes me into action! I had the sweetest pleasure of being galvanized into action for a baby baptism last week. A friend of mine, who usually is NOT a procrastinator like me, had procrastinated a little too long in finding a baptism gift for her godson. She texts me on Thursday and needed the gift for Sunday.

Be-ins that I have loads of old wood laying around I suggested  rustic cross for over his little crib. This is what I came up with.....
Kept it simple......Much like the actual Gospel message.
"He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him..."

"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed...."

"..... I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels."

Always being renewed,

Scripture: Isaiah 53:2,5     Revelations 3:5

  1. I do love this baptismal cross. I love it's simplicity and the biblical quotations. So perfect.
