So I kinda removed an L-bracket from the top of the mantel when we were painting the Living room. Apparently, it was the only thing holding the thing in place.
Who knew. (Not me!)
How did I discover this? I found a tile that fell off from behind the surround on the floor and finally realized where it came from.
I think this is blatant, boldfaced proof that I need to remove the entire mantel and get new tile...
Which when I said to the hubster : "I think the thing to do right here is to remove the mantel and just replace the tile"
He said: "Of course you would".....
Not sensing he's on board.....
