Okay, people, I can't wait to show you the Throne Chair completely finished!!! I had to wait to post the after until Miss Cheryl got her chair. She reads the blog (Hi Cheryl!) and I wanted her to see it in person first before she saw it on the blog. I think she liked it!
But before I show you the sa-weet after, I think we all need to appreciate the Before:
Dry, dry wood, broken arms and all legs out of their sockets.
And now the After!
She is so regal.....
The wood just soaked up the stain and the Hemp Oil.
And since I am not such a great photographer, these photos don't even do this chair justice.
But here is a side by side to really see the difference:
I love a total and complete transformation.
The best part is the journey to get there and this was one chair that caused me a lot of hard work, frustration, illumination, and then elation. I don;t think it would have been as satisfying to see it come together if it had gone off without a hitch.
After all the hard work, it is really cool to be able to say
"Shazam!"
For additional posts on this chair:
What are your favorite sayings when you have done something that you totally dig?
Always being renewed,
Oh, my...it is BE YOO TEE FULL! You have such a knack for fixing broken wooden things and making them look lovely. That chair is sighing with relief - a whole new beginning! Just like Jesus does with us...
